Whiplash

Rear end and side impact collision car accidents often lead to what is called whiplash associated disorders (WAD), or whiplash injuries for short.

The injury mechanism, also for diving accidents, is one of acceleration-deceleration and associated with neck pain radiating out to the shoulders, headaches and even low back pain.

Not only is stiffness and pain common but also - and very often overlooked - balance and proprioceptive dysfunction, psychogical trauma and significant loss of energy.
