David Barker MCSP qualified from Northumbria University
in 2008. Before moving to Ealing Physiotherapy he worked for The Canadian
Back Institute on Vancouver Island, British Columbia where he specialised in
their cutting edge treatment of spinal dysfunctions, orthopaedics and sports
injuries. He worked with a professional Ice Hockey team, gaining extensive
experience in sporting injuries. David’s time in Canada is enormously
beneficial for our patients.
David is back in the UK to complete a Masters degree in Advanced
Neuromuscular Physiotherapy. He is looking forward to develop his
skills of manual and manipulative treatment and give his patients the
most up-to-date injury management strategies available. His particular
interest is treating cervicogenic (neck related) headaches; a topic he
wishes to study further as part of his Masters.
David is a keen sportsman having represented Yorkshire at rugby and
competed in national downhill mountain biking championships. He is a
keen adventure racer, combining his enthusiasm for mountain bikes with
his love for kayaking and trail running. He is passionate about
helping people get back to having fun with their sport and exercising
pain free.
